President’s Message (Aug/Sept 2015)

Since this is my first newsletter as the new President I’d like to introduce myself and thank the previous President Jim Kirkpatrick for his leadership over the past five years. I have been on the Board of Directors for two years and for the past year served as Treasurer. I have been a resident of TCE since 1995. I have several engineering degrees and was the Director for Boeing Operations at Kirtland AFB before retiring several years ago.

At our June 2015 Annual Meeting, as Treasurer I stated the Board’s goal of continuing to provide our current level of operation, maintenance and upgrade/improvement activities while making significant contributions to our Capital Reserve Fund while not increasing our monthly HOA dues. This will continue to be my goal as President. TCE is on firm financial footing thanks to the contributions of the departing President, Jim Kirkpatrick, and the entire TCE Board of Directors.

At the June 17, 2015 General Membership Meeting it was gratifying to see how many TCE Residents care about our TCE community. TCE is certainly one of the most beautiful and safest areas in Albuquerque. Several residents expressed their support and appreciation of what the Board has accomplished over the past year. There also was a general discussion of break-ins, barking dogs, collections and home rentals. The Board acknowledges these issues and has been and will continue to address them in the coming months.

Don Mullen, President
